Job Description:

Actfast Restoration and Repairs Ltd., a trusted provider of property restoration and maintenance services in Surrey, British Columbia, is seeking 2 experienced Handyman/Woman professionals to join our growing team. This full-time, permanent position offers a competitive wage of $37.00 per hour and involves performing minor repairs, maintenance, and restoration tasks for both residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidates will have at least 1-2 years of experience in general repairs or trades-related work, a strong understanding of building safety standards, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs

Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse

Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs

Perform minor repairs on appliances

Perform safety and security checks

Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies

Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair

Work with minimal supervision

Assist skilled tradespersons
