Position SummaryThe Telecommunications Equipment Technician is responsible for the installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications and telephone systems. The role involves diagnosing technical faults, performing service tests, and ensuring reliable operation of network and communication equipment at client sites and central facilities. Key Responsibilities Inspect, test, and troubleshoot cable signals and telecommunications equipment Diagnose equipment and transmission faults and perform repairs or replacements Install, maintain, and remove telephone systems, wiring, and related hardware Repair or replace defective telephone and telecommunications equipment Test installed systems to identify and correct transmission issues Analyze test results and adjust switching systems, networks, and related software Operate computerized testing equipment to conduct service tests Complete and maintain accurate service, testing, and maintenance reports Identify the nature, cause, and location of technical problems Coordinate or dispatch repair personnel when required Install electromechanical, analog, and digital trunking systems and circuits Assign and organize work tasks as needed to meet operational requirements Skills & Abilities Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines Physical ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods Ability to distinguish between colours How to apply: jobs@purktech.com
